Post 1: General Workers (Tygerberg Quarry): AFRIMAT: Various Posts
Minimum Qualification/Experience
- Grade 12 and/or experience in a similar environment
- Be literate and functionally numerate
- Possess basic knowledge of machinery
- Ability to work under pressure
- Be self-disciplined and able to work without supervision
- Ability to work within the team
- Ability to assist with manual labour and plant maintenance
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Be able to work irregular hours which may include night work

Duties and responsibilities (not limited to): AFRIMAT: Various Posts
- Assist with performing daily pre-start inspection checks.
- Assist with general maintenance tasks on or around the plant when requested, under supervision
- Clean all spillage according to safety guidelines
- Adhere to all Health + Safety Standards to ensure safe working practices
- Assist with all screen changes
- Report any general elementary problems to immediate Supervisor on site
- Attend to any other ad hoc duties as requested

Post 2: General Worker (Peak Quarry) x04 : AFRIMAT: Various Posts
Minimum Qualification/Experience
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience as a General Worker.
- Previous experience of operating heavy machinery is advantageous.
- Able to work under pressure.
Duties and responsibilities (not limited to): AFRIMAT: Various Posts
- Assist Operators with maintenance.
- Cleaning up worksite.
- Able to work with hand tools
- Follow instructions and work independently.
- Perform any other manual work required on site.
- Housekeeping.
Be prepared to work after hours when needed. Will be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Will be able to work independently as well in a team environment.
