Position Overview: KIA: Junior Digital Designer

Kia South Africa is seeking a creative and talented Digital Designer to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital design, with a  degree from a reputable institution such as Open Window or Inscape, and at least 2 years of professional experience. This role is essential in enhancing our brand’s digital presence and delivering engaging visual content across various platforms.

Specific Role Responsibilities

Design Creation:

• Develop visually compelling digital content, including web graphics, social media visuals, email campaigns, and online advertisements.
• Create engaging multimedia content for digital platforms, ensuring a cohesive brand identity.

Brand Consistency:

• Ensure all digital designs adhere to Kia’s brand guidelines and visual standards.
• Work closely with the marketing team to align digital content with overall marketing strategies.

 User Experience:

• Design intuitive user interfaces (UI) for web and mobile applications, enhancing user experience (UX).
• Collaborate with web developers to implement design changes and improvements.

Project Management:

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of work.
• Coordinate with external vendors and agencies as needed for various digital design projects.

Innovation and Trends:

• Stay updated with the latest digital design trends, tools, and technologies.
• Propose innovative ideas to enhance Kia’s digital presence and engage our audience effectively.

Qualifications and Experience: KIA: Junior Digital Designer

Educational Background:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Degrees from Open Window or Inscape are preferred.

Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in digital design.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD).
• Experience with web design tools (Sketch, Figma) and multimedia software (After Effects, Premiere Pro).
• Understanding of HTML/CSS and basic web development principles is a plus.
• Experience with photography and videography and video editing

Portfolio:

• A strong portfolio showcasing your digital design work, highlighting your creativity and technical skills.
